Returnee Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has named a squad of 30 players for next month's Afcon qualifier at home to Ethiopia.
Conspicuously missing in the squad is Newcastle United new signing Christian Atsu, who has been the Black Stars' best performer in recent years.
The list however includes seven top players - Richard Ofori, Felix Annan, Joseph Addo, Winful Cobinnah, Daniel Darkwah, Samuel Sarfo and Nicholas Opoku from the local league.
Appiah, in his first major call-ups, also recalled centre-back pair Rashid Sumaila and Jerry Akaminko as well as Mohammed Abu, Denmark-based shot-stopper Adam Kwarasey and Majeed Waris.
The squad also has four new faces - Lumor Agbenyenu, Isaac Sackey, Kingsley Sarfo and Thomas Agyepong.
The Black Stars will host Ethiopia at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on June 11.
Kwasi Appiah is expected to determine his team to travel for the Mexico and USA international friendlies set for June 28 and July 1 respectively from this composite squad.
