Rangers have been installed as the favourites to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult this summer, according to the latest bookmaker’s odds.
Bet Victor priced the Scottish big hitters at 4/1 on Saturday morning to sign the 24-year-old before the transfer window shuts in September.
Trailing behind Pedro Caixinha’s side are English Championship side Derby at 5/1, while Aberdeen are 6/1 and Crystal Palace are priced at 8/1.
The likes of Brentford, Preston and Birmingham are also credited with a chance of signing Englishman Moult, whose goalscoring exploits for Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell have caught the eye of so many clubs.
Scoring 13 goals in the league, Moult has amassed an impressive 16 goals in all competitions as well as providing six assists for Steve Robinson’s side during 29 outings.
However, with Motherwell in a lowly 10th place and only a year left on his contract at Fir Park, Moult could be tempted to leave join Caixinha’s side in the summer transfer window.
The Gers have plenty of strikers available to them, but none have found a consistent run of form this season as Kenny Miller top scored in the league with only nine Scottish Premiership strikes.
If the 54-time Scottish champions do indeed sign Moult in the coming transfer window, the likes of Martyn Waghorn, Michael O’Halloran, Joe Garner and Joe Dodoo may be forced down the pecking order at Ibrox.
