Waste of time
Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
According to Get French Football Now (GFFN), who contacted the Ligue 1 side directly, Monaco will not negotiate with Arsenal.
The Gunners made a 45 million pound bid for Lemar, which, according to GFFN, was completely ignored by Monaco as it was deemed a waste of time.
Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev will be wanting to keep as many key players as possible. The French champions have already lost Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, with Benjamin Mendy expected to follow him shortly.
Meanwhile, midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is close to completing a move to Chelsea.
